A real treat is hot sauce on the pork rinds. Tobasco or your favorite hot sauce turns them into something magical. Also, don't leave out fresh black pepper with the salt. Awesome snack.

A tip on how you might disgorge a hook quickly without landing the fish ... slide the gaff down the lure until it hooks the curl of the hook, then lift the weight of the fish on the inverted hook which will likely disgorge. This works on deck also and is how the commercial trolling fishermen quickly disgorge a single hook spoon.

Hi Troy. I am no expert and you probably know all about this but on all the large flatter sections of glass I have found using peel ply cuts the finishing time and labour by 3/4 at least, especially if you are going to paint the project, and lets you apply a much more consistent layer of glass/resin. It also makes it pretty easy to wet out and apply multiple layers of cloth while keeping everything smooth/feathered out. Thanks for your efforts with the videos!.

I love what you do. Using the whole animal. Have you considered making brawn? The butcher used to make it when I was a kid and it was beautiful. Definitely along the lines of black pudding and neither of them are the same today. Luckily I can still get fresh lambs fry. Keep up the great work and I swung over from your seafaring adventures.
